About Dr Gbemi Oluleye

I wear multiple hats as an Associate Professor, Executive Educator, and Founder, but across all three, my mission is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future by delivering innovative market-based mechanisms. At the core of my work, I develop holistic analytical approaches that quantify the strength of economic signals generated by market-based mechanisms, translating them into financial value and assessing their ability to redirect capital, improve the economic viability, adoption, and diffusion of low-carbon innovations. I have led major international projects, including UK PACT-funded work in Malaysia on the design and operationalisation of emissions trading systems, and projects with the World Bank, UNIDO/UNFCCC, and the European Commission. I have also contributed directly to UK policy development as a member of the BEIS Strategic Advisory Board for the Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy and as a BEIS Industrial Strategy Fellow supporting the UK Hydrogen Strategy. I regularly engage with policymakers through invited briefings at the UK Parliament and technical workshops. I have delivered keynote and plenary lectures at leading international conferences, including SDEWES, CHISA, RD20 International Summer School, IEA GHGT, and ICAE, and have been an invited speaker at platforms such as Web Summit, Anthropy, Innovation Zero, DecarbConnect, London Climate Action Week, and Reset Connect London. My work has also been featured in policy panels, industry forums, and international academic conferences, reflecting sustained influence across academia, policy, and industry.
